June 2024 • Green Fest at Viseu, Portugal

This month, we organized an innovative and unique event called GREEN FEST at the Forum Viseu shopping center in Viseu, Portugal. From June 1st through 10th, visitors could participate in a sustainable event featuring a variety of activities:

Treetops Challenge: Children aged 5 to 12 had to toss their recyclable items in the correct bins (paper, glass, metal) to access the adventure circuit, hanging at 2 meters high. Along the circuit, we placed native plants from the Viseu area, and a guide shared relevant information about them and their conservation status. It was a great awareness-raising activity!

Green Workshops: We created a Green Atelier, a dedicated space for the Green Fest workshops. Each day offered a different activity for families with children aged 4 to 12 to have fun while learning about gardening, bio-cooking, recycling, and making artworks using natural and reclaimed materials.

School Exhibition: Ten schools participated in an exciting challenge, decorating a kingfisher silhouette using exclusively recycled materials. The birds, 1 meter wide by 1.5 meters tall, were displayed in the center’s hallways throughout the event. By doing so, they entered a contest for a prize valued at €600! A great initiative.

We loved being part of this project that provided the community with an opportunity to enjoy a unique, educational outing with a positive impact.
